FRESH FACED

£6.99 from superdrug or boots
So this is a pretty dreamy product as the name would suggest and I've been really enjoying using it as part of my make up routine. When the whole BB cream craze blew up I wasn't too interested; the thought of a face product with little coverage was not up my street at all and I basically stuck to the full coverage foundations that I knew and loved. However, after picking up the L'oreal bb cream and liking it despite the sheer coverage it gave I decided to try the new Maybelline dream pure BB cream.
Clearly the packaging isn't top notch but this is a highstreet product and anyway its all about the product on the inside. Surprisingly this BB cream gives more coverage than I expected and applies more like a tinted moisturiser or light coverage foundation. I love how it glides over my skin and evens out my skin tone really well while also lightly covering any blemishes (although I do still need the help of a concealer over the top obvs.) I also like how lightweight and smooth it feels on the skin although it can feel slightly tacky straight after application but hey nothings ever perfect. I think there is only three shades, which may not sound a lot but in the BB cream world I've seen most products only coming out with two- light and dark. I chose the shade medium which is actually quite pale in terms of a normal 'medium' colour but its perfect for my skin tone. The last perk of this product is the salicylic acid that it contains which makes me happy to think I'm helping my skin while still wearing makeup, all is good.
